Privacy Policy

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

Outback Supervision is committed to protecting your privacy as a visitor to our website and as a customer of the digital resources, guides and templates available for purchase here. We respect the privacy and confidentiality of the information you provide, and adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This policy covers information collected through this website itself, general enquiries, marketing sign-ups and digital product purchases. It does not cover the collection or storage of personal or health information as part of our clinical supervision services. If you book a supervision session with us, you will be taken to Cliniko, a separate, secure practice management platform, where your information is collected and handled under its own privacy and confidentiality process, set out in the Supervision Consent Agreement provided to you as part of your booking.

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WHY DO WE COLLECT IT?

Through your use of this website, we may collect the following information: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, IP address and general browsing data, messages sent through our contact form, and information you provide when subscribing to our mailing list or downloading a free guide.

This information is obtained in ways including correspondence, by telephone, by email, and via our website www.outbacksupervision.com. We collect it for the primary purpose of responding to your enquiries, providing digital products you've purchased or requested, and general practice administration, and for secondary purposes closely related to those, in circumstances you'd reasonably expect. You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by contacting us in writing.

OUR SUPERVISION SERVICES

Booking links on this website take you directly to Cliniko, our practice management platform, to schedule a supervision session. From that point, your personal and any sensitive information, including health or clinical information you may reference in the course of supervision, is collected and stored securely within Cliniko, not on this website, and is governed by the Supervision Consent Agreement you complete as part of your booking. A person may be a customer of this website, purchasing a digital resource or subscribing to our mailing list, without ever becoming a supervisee, and the two are treated separately.

THIRD PARTIES

Where reasonable and practicable, we collect your personal information only from you. In some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties, in which case we will take reasonable steps to ensure you're made aware of what was provided and by whom.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information collected through this website may be disclosed where required or authorised by law, including in response to a court order or subpoena, to protect the rights, property or safety of Outback Supervision, our customers or third parties, or where you have consented to its disclosure.

SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Information collected through this website is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Credit card information is encrypted before transmission and is not stored by us.

We retain the personal information collected through this website for as long as needed to provide our products and services to you, and as otherwise necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. This relates to website and product-related data only, personal and any sensitive information collected as part of our supervision services is retained in accordance with the terms set out in your Supervision Consent Agreement.

In the event of a breach of our security that compromises your personal data, we will notify you promptly, in compliance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may access the personal information we hold about you, and update or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. Please contact us in writing to make a request. We do not charge a fee for an access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your information, and may require identification before releasing it.

MAINTAINING THE QUALITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information accurate, complete and up to date. If anything we hold is out of date or incorrect, please let us know so we can update our records.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS

We may use paid, secure AI-assisted research tools, including Scite, to support the research behind our blog content and general website resources. These tools are used for researching published, publicly available literature only, and no personal or identifying information is ever entered into them. AI-assisted tools used as part of the supervision relationship itself, such as clinical documentation tools, are addressed separately in the Supervision Consent Agreement.

COOKIES AND PIXELS

Cookies allow a website to tailor its configuration to your needs and preferences, and do not access information stored on your computer or personal data such as your name or email address. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can reject them through your browser settings, though this may limit some website functionality.

This website may use cookies to analyse traffic and improve the visitor experience. Cookies and pixels may also be used to serve relevant advertising through third-party services such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES

We do not and will not sell or deal in your personal information. It is only disclosed to third-party suppliers where required by law, for services or products you've engaged or purchased, for payment processing, or to protect our copyright, trademarks or other legal rights. Any service provider we share information with is required to comply with our privacy standards and applicable law.

We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website that collects your personal information. This policy applies only to information collected through this website.

CHANGE IN PRIVACY POLICY
